Giving Thanks | Autumn Wedding Inspiration

Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love endures forever! Psalm 107:2

portlandweddingfloristoregoneventdesign3The holiday season always seems to sneak up on me. One day the leaves are just beginning to change. The next, we are half way through November, and Thanksgiving is right around the corner!

Thanksgiving is so meaningful to me. Taking the time to reflect, to be surrounded by loved ones is a slice of heaven for me. As a small business owner, I don’t take for granted that everyday I get to do something I absolutely love. Not only that, but this business also allows me to be a stay-at-home-mom to my daughter. So, to all my past and current brides and clients: THANK YOU!!! from the bottom of my heart. Supporting my small business helps me provide for my family, spend time with my daughter, and allows my work and my passion to be one in the same.

And to my family, friends, and peers; there are not enough words to express my gratitude for your continual support, love and encouragement. It’s this tribe that keeps me going day in and day out.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and that you take time to be with loved ones, to reflect, pray, to give thanks.

Also, thank you Style Me Pretty for featuring this lovely, fall inspired editorial. My name is Kim, I’m a Portland native and the owner and designer of Swoon Floral Design. Being creative has always been a significant part of my life. From a young age I was always looking for something to design, repurpose, and create. With a background in interior design and horticulture, Swoon allows me to combine my passion for flowers and foliage, color, texture, and fabulous spaces by creating one of a kind arrangements for some of the most beautiful events in Oregon. Whether you are drawn to lush garden style arrangements or simple blooms in eclectic bottles, I will ensure each creation reflects your unique style + aesthetic. I work closely with my clients, making sure their wedding or event is the most cherished of occasions. When not playing with beautiful blooms, you can find me spending time with my family and friends, on a hike, checking out local farmers markets, and exploring the Portland "foodie" scene.
