DIY Felt Christmas Tree Garland
The holiday season is officially here! I love decorating my home for Christmas. The only caveat, is that I don’t like to do the same theme/color palette year to year. This is a nightmare for my financial advisor hubby ;).
This year, I decided to I wanted to decorate with navy, white, gray, and copper. I love this wintery color combo! Unfortunately, I only had a few silver and white decor items from years past. In order to save some money I decided some DIY projects were necessary. In the next several days I will be sharing a few DIY decor projects I am using in my home this Christmas. First up is the DIY felt garland for our Christmas tree.
Supplies Needed:
- Felt in color(s) of choice. I kept my color scheme neutral (white, oatmeal, and gray)
- Bind wire or twine
- Scissors (sharp enough to cut fabric)
Step 1: Cut your felt into 1/2″ x 5″ strips and cut your bind wire to desired length (You may want to cut a few pieces in equal lengths.)
Step 2: Next, tie your strips of felt onto the bind wire.
Step 3: Pull pieces of felt together and turn in different directions to create fullness and dimension. Continue until you have covered the bind wire.
Step 4: Add to your tree!
